Our East Africa tour takes you through (Ethiopia) - the home of coffee, ancient temples and the unconquerable, to (Kenya) - Masai, wildebeests and Born Free and to (Uganda) - Gorillas, the Great River Nile and shoebills. (Rwanda) - The Land of a Thousand Hills. (Tanzania's)- Serengeti and Kenya's Masai Mara host the annual Great Migration, a unique spectacle that occurs as huge herds of wildebeests and zebras follow the fresh grazing that sprouts in the wake of the annual rains. On safaris in Kenya, spot local species including the endangered black rhino, the elusive cheetah, the abundant gazelles and endless numbers of unique bird life.

Ethiopia

Days 1 to 8 - Ethiopia tour

The journey begins in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and heads to Axum for a half-day guided tour.

Day 4 & 5 - Lalibela, full day cultural excursions visiting temples, local communities and curio stores .

Day 6 & 7 - Road trip to Bahir Dar. Activites include boat trips on Lake Tana, local markets and hiking trails.

Road trip back to Adis Ababa on Day 8.

Kenya

Day 9 to 17 - Tour of Kenya

Day 9 - Flight to Kenya

Day 10 - Sheldrick Elephant orphanage and beads market.

Day 11 &12 - Road trip to Masai Mara. Full day game drives.

Day 13- Cultural interactions with Masai groups and optional balloon rides. Drive to Naivasha

Day 14 & 15 - Naivasha. Activities include; game walks, Hells gate cycling tour, visit to Elsamere and boat cruises.

Uganda

Day 18 - 26 - Tour of Rwanda and Uganda

Day 18 - 22 will see us in Uganda. Activities in Jinja will include boat cruises on the Nile, white water rafting, cycling and soft power community projects. Game drives, bush walks and tour of the falls in Murchinson.

Day 23 & 24 - Tour to Bwindi and crossing into Rwanda.

Day 26 The tour ends with a visit to Genocide Museum in Rwanda.
